St Kitts and Nevis Patriots vs Barbados Tridents, 8th Match best teams

STN VS BT MATCH 8TH

                           watch this match video

Preview:

The St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots recorded the 2nd highest successful run-chase ever in the T20 history on Tuesday as they chased down 242 against the Jamaica Tallawahs. With this win, the SKN Patriots brought an end to their wait of first points in their tally. The Carlos Brathwaite-led side lost their first two matches before playing their first match at home that fetched them a win.

They will be in the field twice in two days as they host the Barbados Tridents this time. The Barbados team played their first match on Sunday night where they suffered a big loss to the Guyana Amazon Warriors. However, with three inform International stars – Alex Hales, Johnson Charles and JP Duminy in their batting line-up, the Tridents will be hopeful about being part of another high-scoring match.

Weather Condition/Report:

The rain did not interrupt the play on Tuesday and so the game on Wednesday here at the Warner Park in St Kitts is expected to have no threat from rain. In fact, the weather forecast is much better for Wednesday compared to Tuesday where the showers and drizzle predicted for night.

                                   Pitch Condition/Report:

The Warner Park in Basseterre produced a record run-fest on Wednesday. The pitch was so good that it could provide a game with 180+ totals even if used for the game between Patriots and Tridents. If a fresh surface is used for this match, don’t rule out another successful 200+ chase given the short boundaries here.

Team News:

  • Shai Hope seems to be recovering from the hand injury he suffered during the Test series against India.
  • There is no update of why Sheldon Cottrell didn’t play the match on Tuesday.
