Ajinkya Rahane’s century along with Jasprit Bumrah’s sensational bowling performance helped India to register a comprehensive victory in the first Test match at Antigua. This victory gave Team India a perfect start in the World Test Championship. Whereas, West Indies on the other hand didn’t lived up the expectations.

After all the exciting action and thriller in last one month, MyTeam11 series will come to an end when India and West Indies enter the Sabina Park, to play the second and final test match of the series.

Team Analysis

India
Indian team’s performance in the entire series has been remarkable. Except one wash out One-Day International game, the team has opened the victory gate on every other occasion. In the first Test match played at Antigua, Virat Kohli and company registered a 318 runs victory over the hosts to open their account in World Test Championship.

Team India will be aiming for another belligerent performance from the boys in the second Test match to continue their winning streak over West Indies. For this match, once again the onus will be on the likes of Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah who delivered some exceptional performances in the first match.

KL Rahul got starts in both the innings but failed to convert them to big innings so, will be eagerly looking to accomplish that while his opening partner, Mayank Agarwal will want to get into the runs this time.

Ishant Sharma’s performance in the match was also phenomenal as the right-handed medium-pacer grabbed eight wickets in the first test match. The bowling trio of Bumrah, Ishant and Shami will play a massive role in this match.

As far as the team combination is concerned, Virat Kohli might do no changes in the playing XI.

West Indies

The Caribbean giants haven’t won even a single match in this series, and now they have nothing to lose Jason Holder, and his troops will be hoping to play fierce cricket to give them a chance to level the Test series.

Batting had been their primary concern in the first Test where no batsman didn’t even reach 50-run mark. However, bowlers lacked consistency as in both the innings, they picked up early wickets but allowed the Indian middle-order batsmen to settle in. So, this time, the team will be looking to grab on all the possible chances on the field to put pressure on Number One Test nation.

As far as team combination for this match is concerned, West Indies selectors have included all-rounder Keemo Paul in the 13-man squad ahead of this Test in place of Miguel Cummins. Most probably he will be in playing XI for this match.
