Pitch Condition
The fast bowlers have been in the wickets at Bridgetown, with it providing plenty of pace on its hard surface. While that can sometimes play into the hands of the big-hitters too, it is the bowlers who have had the last laugh… so far.
Toss Prediction
St Lucia Zouks won the toss when these teams last met and elected to field first. It is Barbados’ turn this time and, despite their defeat chasing in their last game, they could elect to field first again.
BT vs STZ Head to Head
After losing both matches against St Lucia last season, Barbados resumed normal service when they met earlier this season at Gros Islet. Justin Greaves’ debut half-century led the Tridents to 172/6 before they bowled St Lucia Zouks out for 101 in just 14.5 overs. The 71-run win was their ninth victory in 13 previous matches against the St Lucia franchise in the Caribbean Premier League.

Barbados Tridents Team News & Playing 11
BT Team News
International call-ups have forced the Tridents into a few rethinks with Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib-al-Hasan making his first appearance in place of Sandeep Lamichhane last time out. English left-arm paceman Harry Gurney has already come into the team to join up with his Notts Outlaws team-mate Alex Hales. Outlaws’ captain Dan Christian was also added to the Tridents’ roster, but he is yet to feature. Coach Phil Simmons has confirmed Shai Hope will not be back from his finger injury until next month, meanwhile, though he might feature in the play-offs if the Tridents qualify.
BT Key Players
Shakib-al-Hasan: The Bangladeshi superstar took 1-14 and hit 38 in his opening game to prove his form with bat and ball. He arrives fresh from the Bangladesh Tri-Nation Series, where he finished strongly too – claiming his fourth wicket of the series and then scoring 70* in his final game.
Harry Gurney: Took 22 wickets in 12 games at the T20 Blast as Notts Outlaws reached the semi-finals, adding to his Big Bash success with Melbourne Renegades earlier this season. So far for the Tridents, he has taken four wickets in three games.
Hayden Walsh Jr: The American paceman came back into the team with a bang, claiming 5-19 in the win against Trinbago Knight Riders, and his 2-37 last time out means he has 11 wickets in just four games so far.
BT Team Form
Barbados Tridents’ play-off ambitions were hit last time out, when they lost a thrilling match against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots at Bridgetown. Chasing 150 to win, Shakib al Hasan hit 38 and some late hitting from Raymon Reifer looked to have put the Tridents on the brink of victory. After his dismissal, however, they scored just two runs off the final four balls to finish 148 all out and lose by one run.
It was a big comedown from their previous game, in which JP Duminy’s 65 from 20 balls had helped them post 192/5 from their 20 overs against Trinbago Knight Riders before Hayden Walsh Jr took 5-19 to rip through the Knight Riders’ batting and dismiss them for 129.

St Lucia Zouks Team News & Playing 11
STZ Team News
Krishmar Santokie came into the bowling attack last time out as the Zouks continue to tweak their 11th position in the team. Since Jeavor Royal replaced injured Obed McCoy, the other ten players have been settled but Santokie’s call-up switches the balance of the team slightly – Jamarh Hamilton was the man to make way, with Hardus Viljoen pushed up the batting order to compensate.
STZ Key Players
Rahkeem Cornwall: The giant all-rounder was back to his best last time out, hitting 51 in the win against Jamaica. It was his second half-century of the tournament against the Tallawahs and ended a run of low scores.
Kesrick Williams: Three wickets helped the Zouks to victory against the Tallawahs last time out and took the paceman to 12 wickets in this year’s tournament. Three of those came against Barbados when these teams last met too.
Fawad Ahmed: The veteran leg-spinner has been tidy for the Zouks, claiming nine wickets so far and generally bowling economically too.
STZ Team Form
St Lucia Zouks have won two of their last three games to stay in the play-off hunt of CPL 2019. They posted 165/6 and beat St Kitts & Nevis Patriots by 20 runs to get back to winning ways and, after a heavy eight-wicket defeat to Guyana Amazon Warriors despite Colin de Grandhomme’s 65, they recovered by beating Jamaica last time out.
Kesrick Williams took 3-24 as Jamaica posted 165/7 from their 20 overs, but Rahkeem Cornwall’s half-century in reply set the tone and the Zouks won by four wickets with five balls to spare.
St Lucia Zouks Squad: Andre Fletcher(w), Rahkeem CKavem Hodge, Jahmar Hamilton, Keddy McCoy, Andre McCarthy, Roland Catoornwall, Colin Ingram, Colin de Grandhomme, Hardus Viljoen, Daren SamLesporis, Obed my(c), Krishmar Santokie, Jeavor Royal, Kesrick Williams, Fawad Ahmed, John Campbell,
